I decided to pick up some of the books by the Thoenes and read Prauge Counterpoint then started the Galway Chronicles--got the 2nd book instead of the 1st but it is great historical fiction and not preachy. Also read the Bob Bullock book that the other bookclub ready by McNeely and Henderson. It was great because I remebered so much of the events happening.

Just finished The Reader, by Bernhard Schlink. I found it a bittersweet story from the view point of a boy whose parents were in the generation of role-players in the 3rd Reich in Germany. Well written and hard to put down, with a real-life feel to it.
